Plaistow: Natalie R. (Carrington) Faxon, 81, a resident of Plaistow since 2011, died peacefully, with her family by her side, on January 7, 2017 at the Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, following a brief illness.
Born in Haverhill, MA, daughter of the late Ralph and Sylvia (Noel) Carrington, she attended Haverhill Public Schools. She was employed first in the local shoe industry and later for many years at Western Electric Co., AT & T Technologies, and Lucent Technologies. She later worked as a cashier at Haffner's Service Station on Main St., Haverhill for several years and finally finished her work career at Wal-Mart in Plaistow, NH.
A former resident of East Hampstead and longtime resident of Atkinson, she was a member of the Communication Workers of America, Local 1365, the Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion Post 4, AmVets Post 147, both of Haverhill and the Carl Davis Post 34 of the American Legion, Plaistow. She also was a member of Mr. Mike's Dart League and the Bowling league at Pilgrim Lanes in Haverhill.
Blessed with a wonderful sense of humor, she enjoyed dining out and entertaining friends with her karaoke singing, especially patsy Cline oldies, vacations to Hampton Beach with her girlfriends and vacations to Glen, NH with her sisters. An avid reader, she also enjoyed completing jigsaw and crossword puzzles, attending yard sales, collecting dolls, dancing, and spending many memorable times with her family and friends.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her three daughters, Sondi Faxon-George and her husband, Donald George of Plaistow, Wendy Faxon and her longtime companion, Al Young of Hiram, Maine and Sherry (Faxon) Fionda of Derry, a son, Andrew Faxon of Haverhill, two sisters, Sylvia McComiskey of Haverhill and Laurel Senter of Plaistow, three brothers, Ralph Carrington, Jr. of Rochester, Franklyn Carrington of Plaistow and David Carrington of Haverhill, three grandchildren, Crystle George, Dane Fionda and Dylan Fionda, her best friends, Sandy Jones and Bonnie Laporte and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by sisters, Shirley Brook and Muriel Kemp.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Life Celebration to be held on Thursday, January 12, 2017,from 4 to 6 pm at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow. Her funeral service will follow at 6:15 in the funeral home. Donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
