Nancy C. (St. Amand) Potvin, 78, a resident of Plaistow, NH, died on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill, MA.

She was born in Lawrence, MA on July 29, 1946 and was the daughter of the late Albert and Bertha (Houde) St. Amand. Nancy was raised and educated in Lawrence, MA and was a graduate of Lawrence High School, Class of 1964. She was employed at the IRS in North Andover for over twenty years until 2000. Nancy then went on to take a position at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen in the food service department until she retired in 2012.

She was an avid reader, and enjoyed craft fairs, scrabble, card games and trips to the beach and mountains. Nancy had a quiet demeanor and was always warm, kind and thoughtful to those around her. She also had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. Nancy will be greatly missed.

Nancy is survived by her daughter Michelle Hartwell and her husband James of Plaistow, NH, her brother Walter St. Amand and his wife Kathleen of Dracut, MA, and her sister-in-law Karlene St. Amand of Florida.

She was sadly predeceased by her brother Richard St. Amand.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, July 3, 2025 from 12pm – 2pm at the Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home 116 Main St. Plaistow, NH. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers donations in memory can be made to the American kidney fund (www.kidneyfund.org) or the Salem animal rescue league (www.sarlnh.org).
