Nancy F.
Buckley
December 1, 1949 – December 6, 2025
Nancy Fifer (Bash) Buckley, 76, a resident of Haverhill, MA, died on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Daniel Buckley with whom she shared fifty-three years of marriage.
She was born in Portland, Indiana and was the daughter of the late Donald Fifer and Hazel (Hodgson) Bash, stepmother Sallie K. Fifer and stepfather Ernest Bash. Nancy was raised in Ohio and was a graduate of Northmont High School in Clayton, Ohio, Class of 1967. Nancy retired as a Research Associate from Chase Paymentech.
Nancy enjoyed reading, baking and crafts. Whether it was a homemade treat like her fudge, peanut butter cookies or special Easter Basket cupcakes, a handmade card, Christmas ornament, doily or afghan, Nancy enjoyed sharing her talents with those she loved. Her grandkids were her pride and joy, and they all have great memories of being treated each year to a day of back to school shopping for new clothes, supplies, backpacks and lunch with Grammy when they were young. Nancy's "favorite child" was her soul-dog, Jack, who was a great source of comfort during her illness.
Nancy, one of 15 children, was predeceased by her siblings Bill Harness, Henry "Junior" Harness, Bobby Harness, Jack Harness, James Harness, Doug Fifer and Don Fifer, Dorothy (Harness) Bandel, Marilyn (Harness) George, Diana (Fifer) Spence, and her only full sibling, Robert "Buster" Bash, with whom she shared a special bond.
Besides her husband Daniel, Nancy is survived by her children Patricia St. Cyr and her husband Joseph of Salem, NH, Ellen Campbell and her husband Ronald of Pelham, NH, and Cathleen Buckley of Haverhill, MA, her grandchildren Cameron St. Cyr, Curtis St. Cyr, Caitlyn (St. Cyr) Hawkins and her husband Corey, Meredith Campbell, and Logan Campbell, her siblings Betty (Harness) Pelaston, Barbara (Harness) George and Doloris (Fifer) Kuhn, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Dr. Laura Caprario and Allysa C., PA at Dana Farber, Nurse Beth from Mass General Brigham and Dr. Koch, Nurse Anna and Aide Barbara from Care Dimesions Hospice for the care and support they gave to Nancy in her final days.
Per Nancy's wishes, her funeral service and interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institution at danafarber.jimmyfund.org or to Care Dimensions Hospice at caredimensions.org.
