Wells, Maine: Nancy A. (DiGuilio) Povlovski, 89, and formerly of Haverhill, MA, died on February 18, 2017 at the Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine.
Born and raised in Haverhill, MA, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Antonia (Forte) DiGuilio and was a member of the Haverhill High School Class of 1945.
First employed in the local shoe industry, Mrs. Povlovski later was employed at North Shore Automatic Vending Co. and finally as a kitchen worker and member of the housekeeping department of the former Hale Hospital and Merrimack Valley Hospital of Haverhill.
A longtime member of All Saint Parish of Haverhill and the former Saint Joseph Parish, Mrs. Povlovski was an accomplished cook and baker and enjoyed entertaining her family and friends.
Predeceased by her husband Albert Povlovski in 2001, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Anthony Zingarelli of Wells, a sister, Elizabeth Golas of Plaistow and several nieces and nephews, step-grandchildren, step- great grandchildren and great-great-grand-daughter.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at 11 am in Holy Angels Church of Saint Luke the Evangelist Parish, Plaistow. Burial will be in the spring in the Lithuanian Cemetery in Bradford, MA. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH . In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to The National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33 rd St., New York City, NY .
