IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Nancy A.
Cogswell
July 18, 1957 – June 1, 2020
Kingston, NH: Nancy A. Cogswell, 62, a resident of Kingston for the late six years, died June 1, 2020 at her home, from natural causes.
She was born in Haverhill, MA, daughter of the late Anthony Cogswell and the late Jayne (Furbish) (Cogswell) Sullivan and was raised and educated in Plaistow, NH, attending the Pollard School. She was a 1975 graduate of Timberlane Regional High School where she was active in the Drama Club and won lead roles in several theatre productions.
Nancy was a resident of Westbrook, ME, for twenty-six years where she was employed as a manager of the BJ's Wholesale Club in Portland. She moved back to the area in 2014 and settled in Kingston to be closer to her family, and was presently employed at the Wal-Mart in Epping.
Nancy was a member of Green Pastures of Epping and enjoyed reading, bird watching, playing the guitar, listen to all types of music and was devoted to her pets and those of her family. She enjoyed the last several years living on the shores of Kingston Lake with her brother, John and his wife Lyn and their son Jacob, and especially enjoyed sitting by the lake in the early morning hours, taking pictures of the beauty surrounding her. Even though she enjoyed the peace of her solitude she was devoted to her many friends. She was kind with an infectious laugh, and was always ready to offer her help and her advice to others. At a moment of remembrance Monday evening, her co-workers on the night shift at Wal-Mart remembered her nurturing and supportive demeanor to all of her fellow employees in the workplace.
Nancy will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by three brothers, William A. Cogswell and his wife Leah of Andover, MA, David G. Cogswell and his wife Judy of Danville, and John J. Cogswell and his wife Lyn of Kingston, a sister, Susan E. Wahomey and her husband Arthur of Sarasota, FL, step-sister Gale Cogswell Goodwin and her husband Jim of Newton, NH, nieces and nephews, Elisa, Angela, Dylan, Jacob, Miranda, Ethan, Amanda, Nicole, Matthew, Nathan, Alex and Taylor and several grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased in 2006 by her sister Pamela Penfield.
The family will host a celebration of her life at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Brookside Chapel & Funeral home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. Please take a moment to send a message of condolence to the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to NHSPCA, 104 Portsmouth Avenue, Stratham, NH 03885.
