IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mynna L.
Wexler
March 21, 1936 – January 19, 2024
Atkinson – Mynna L. Wexler, 87, passed away Friday January 19, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family, following a period of failing health.
Born March 21, 1936, in Cambridge, MA, she was the daughter of the late Abraham and Beatrice (Steinhardt) Barmak.
Mynna was a career Grandmother; she enjoyed doting over all her grandchildren and all the ones she loved as such. Her passion was teaching in any capacity. She spent years subbing in Chelmsford and Atkinson. Her favorite days being when she could sub in one of the grandkids' classes. She taught Sunday school at Congregation Shalom in Chelmsford. She loved a house full of people to entertain, cooking, ceramics, knitting, weekly card games, gardening, and telling everyone she loved them.
She and her late husband, Herb built a legacy on Warren Ave in Chelmsford. They raised 3 daughters, and one of their granddaughters, Brooke. Their home was never short of food or fun. She lost the love of her life in 2001 and created a life for herself in Atkinson, NH. She became a staple in town. She will be remembered as the Gramma with the best nails, vibrant energy, and a heart big enough to love all her favorites—and everyone was her favorite.
Members of her family include her children Marci Churn and her husband Bob of Shallotte, NC; Jill Newell and husband Dennis of Chelmsford, MA; and Kimberley Bilicki and husband Ted of Atkinson, NH. She leaves behind 10 grandchildren William, Bryan, Sara, Jimmy, Christine, Brooke, Aarika, Tayla, Jake "Putams", Abbe and many great grandchildren, one sister Rieka Levine and her husband Harvey of Chelmsford, MA; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Herbert Wexler, and her brother Mark Barmak.
The family would like to thank Brookhaven Hospice, Mynna's care team of Camille, the bees of Bee Helpful, and her very special friend and favorite visitor Kelly (Cheryl).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bee Helpful of Hampstead, NH. Donations can be made via Venmo: @BeeHelpful. This service eased so many worries for the family. We hope we can provide financial assistance to other local families who could benefit from their services.
