Salem, NH: Monique L. (de Campobianco) Moron, 97, formerly of Atkinson and a resident of Grey Stone Farms in Salem for the past eighteen months, died peacefully on Sunday, February 9, 2025 in Salem.
Born in Paris, France, daughter of the late Roger Milo de Campobianco and Germaine (Blanchet) de Campobianco, as a young woman she studied art and fashion in Paris, where she met the love of her life, Stan, a young MP in the U.S. army. She emigrated to the United States in 1952, married, and eventually settled in Atkinson, NH for over sixty years.
Mrs. Moron taught freshman through senior level French for thirty-two years at the former Saint Mary's High School in Lawrence. She was a beloved and outstanding teacher and received an excellence in teaching award from the University of Chicago. She enjoyed vacationing on Cape Cod, and was an accomplished miniature artist and avid collector of numerous and eclectic items. She enjoyed all artistic endeavors, fine dining, exploring new places, and spending time with her beloved husband, her daughter, and her many friends and former students.
Predeceased by her husband Stanley J. Moron, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda M. Blanchette and Michael A. McGarr, of Portland, Oregon.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service for Mrs. Moron to be held on Friday, May 9, 2025, at 11 AM @ Atkinson Cemetery, Atkinson, NH. Arrangements are under the direction of Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home of Plaistow.
