Obituary

Mildred J. Dube ("Millie") age 84, of East Hampstead, N.H., passed away peacefully on Friday, July 15,2022 at High Point Hospice House, Haverhill, MA. She was predeceased in December 2021 by her husband, John Barry Dube, Sr. with whom she shared 64 years of marriage.

Born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, she was the only daughter of Edmond and Mary (Ferrigno) Razza. A graduate of Lawrence High School, she pursued a higher education at Massachusetts College of Art, and later was employed by Raytheon, Andover, MA. After raising her four children, she went on to work at Phillips Andover Academy as a Technical Services Librarian until her retirement.

She was an award-winning multi-media accomplished artist and a member of the Salem NH Artists Association. She enjoyed photography and often painted from the photographs she had taken along her travels with her family. She would frequently create interesting adaptations of her photos to use in mixed media art and collage. Never an in-the-box artist, her collages won the accolades of even the most traditional contemporaries.  She was an avid reader.

Millie was smart, sharp, witty, discerning, strong, determined, resilient and fiercely independent. Though challenged by health issues in her latter years, her indomitable spirit, bravery and courage kept her pushing forward despite much personal difficulty.

She was immensely proud of her family who all agree she made them the people they are today. She taught them to be strong, be themselves, and always do the right thing. Without exception, she made them feel accepted, appreciated, and unconditionally loved, as she did with many of their friends. She leaves a legacy of love, gratitude, and beautiful memories.

Mildred will be greatly missed by her family; her daughter Dawn Dube of Exeter, NH; son John Dube, Jr., his wife Eileen of Plaistow, NH and their son Conor (and the late Evan Dube); daughter Lynda Dube Sadler, and husband Anthony Sadler of Carlisle, PA. and their sons Jaedon John Sadler and Zachary Perkins (and wife Megan); son David Dube and his wife Maricar of Plaistow, NH and their daughter Madeleine; and great-grandchildren Desiree, John and Casey Perkins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Millie's Funeral Service to be held on Friday, July 22, 2022, at 10 AM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. Burial will follow at 2:30pm at the New Hampshire State Veteran Cemetery, Boscawen, NH.  To leave a message of condolence for the family, please visit our website at www.brooksidechapelfh.com.
