Salem, NH: Michael P. Rogers, 54, of Salem and formerly of Haverhill, MA, died yesterday at home following a brief illness.

Born in Haverhill, he was the son of the late William J. Rogers, Jr., and the late Marie E. (Kennefick) (Rogers) Coleman. He attended local schools and was a member of the Haverhill High School Class of 1988 and the former Saint Joseph Parish.

In his career, Michael achieved his Second Class Fireman License through the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Fire Services. Most recently, Michael was employed at North Shore Community College in Lynn as a Utility Plant Operator. He enjoyed working alongside his co-workers and took pride in his job, as a reliable and hard-working person.

Devoted to his family, Michael had a good heart and an infectious laugh and was always willing to help his family and friends. He enjoyed Mini-Cup racing as a young man and more recently he enjoyed trips to Foxwoods, boating, and the company of his late canine companion "Pico". Michael was the heart of our family and was loved dearly.

Michael will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sister and brother-in-law, Jean and John Poirier of Haverhill, his brothers and sisters-in-law, William J. and Felicia Rogers, Gerard P. and Joanne Rogers, and Warren P. Rogers and partner Maria Neto, all of Haverhill; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours to be held on Thursday, May 23, 2024 from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. His funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. The burial will be next week in New York State.
