Derry, NH: Michael "Mikey" Dooley, 58, of Derry, NH, died on November 19, 2018 at his home.
Born in Albany, NY, the son of the late Raymond and Suzanne (Ehrhardt) Dooley, Michael attended Timberlane Regional High School, graduating with the Class of 1979. He attended Northern Essex Community College where he received a Certificate in Computer Application in 2002 and an academic award for High Honors in Computer Application in 2003, and graduated in 2006 with his Associate's Degree in Science Computer, Information Science and Information Technology, and a Certificate in Information Technology Fluency. He was employed in maintenance and manufacturing for several years at Stoneyfield Farm in Londonderry, NH.
Michael, was an avid sports fan and loved any Minnesota team, notably, the Vikings and Timberwolves. He enjoyed bowling and was a member of leagues at Pilgrim Lanes, Haverhill, and Baldinelli Bowlaway, Amesbury, and was very passionate and competitive , no matter what he was doing. He would often be seen with a metal detector in his hands checking for buried treasures or hiking at Pawtuckaway. He loved visiting his sister Sue's home in Stark, NH and vacationing in Wells, ME. He adored animals, especially his two cats, Carlos and Gracie and his sister's dogs, Kaylee and Chloe, and also enjoyed singing Karaoke, especially Willie Nelson tunes at Sailor Bill's in Salisbury.
Michael will be sadly missed by his sister and brother-in-law, Suzanne and Wayne Barss of Deerfield, NH; nephews, Adam Barss and his wife, Shannon of E. Kingston, NH and Jon Barss and his wife, Sheree of Tombstone, AZ; a niece, Amber Barss and her fiancé, Jason Newland of Benson, AZ; also several aunts, uncles, great nieces and great nephews and cousins. He was pre-deceased by his brother, Raymond Dooley, Jr., who died in January of 2009.
Relatives and friends may call on Saturday, December 1, 2018, from 1 to 3 PM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Route 121A, Plaistow, NH. A funeral service will follow at 3:15 PM in the funeral home. Burial will take place in the spring in Old Center Cemetery, Deerfield, NH.
