February 23, 1958 – July 3, 2023
Plaistow – Michael A. Carrigan, 65, died Monday July 3, 2023, at his home following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born February 23, 1958, in Neenah, WI, he was the son of Ralph A. Carrigan and Ann (Wilkinson) Miller.
Growing up, Michael attended Mystic Elementary, Lynch Middle and High school in Winchester, MA,
then graduated from Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, NH. He also attended Keene State College in
Keene, NH for one year. Michael excelled in sports, and especially loved the art of baseball. Michael
worked as a truck driver for Eastern Propane and Townsend Energy for over 30 years. His passion was being a part of the JPR Race team as the team manager for over 20 years.
Michael was a devoted family man that enjoyed many hobbies and passions. Some of which included listening to soft jazz while cooking breakfast for his family on Sunday mornings, reading many novels by Tom Clancy and John Grisham before bed, road trips to Damariscotta, ME to spend time with his mother Ann and stepfather Roger, spending time at many racing speedways with his lifelong friends, rooting on his New England sports teams, and hosting cookouts for his friends and family. He enjoyed helping his children accelerate in their sports and arts as they grew up and he was always in the crowd or behind the concession stand.
Members of his family include his children Ryan Carrigan and fiancé Sarah of Londonderry, NH; Morgan Carrigan of Plaistow, NH; Samantha Carrigan of El Segundo, CA; and Jenn Bulger-James of Cambridge, MA; his mother Ann Miller of Damariscotta, ME; his six siblings David Carrigan of Tewksbury, MA; Timothy Carrigan of Peabody, MA; Liza Phillips of Warrenton, VA; Ashley Carrigan of Ipswich, MA; Deirdre Carrigan of Essex, MA; and Anthony Carrigan of Los Angeles, CA; including his two grandchildren Kyelle McCreery and Rammel James as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father Ralph A. Carrigan and stepfather Roger D. Foskett.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023 from 10am - 1pm at the First Baptist Church of Plaistow, 122 Main Street Plaistow, NH.
