Merle W. (BUSTER) Faxon, age  89, of East Hampstead, NH passed away on Friday, March 15, 2024 at Parkland Medical Center in Derry, NH surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Kingston, NH on October 10, 1934, and was the son of the late Merle A. (Skip) and Elizabeth (Gove) Faxon.

Merle was a graduate of  Sanborn Seminary Class of  1952 . He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Merle was employed as an Electronics Design Engineer at Raytheon and Prime Power. He was a true outdoorsman. Merle enjoyed camping, snowmobiling, and riding off road motorcycle in the White Mountains. He was a fan of the Boston Red Sox. He enjoyed working with electronics and building ham radios.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his children Andrew Faxon of Haverhill, MA, Sondi George of Newton, NH, Wendy Faxon of Hiram, ME, and Sherry Fionda of Bedford, NH, his grandchildren Krystle, Dane, Dylan, Great grandchildren Hazel and Isaac, his siblings David Faxon and his wife Carol of Kingston, NH, Richard Faxon of Sebago, ME, and Faye Gerrish of Hampton Falls, NH. He also leaves behind his companion Marcia Gardella.

He is predeceased by his brothers Ronald and wife Kathy Faxon of Florida, Russell and wife Carol Faxon of Kingston NH.

Funeral services and interment will be held privately at the NH Veterans Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St, Plaistow, NH.
