IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Matthew D.
Aspinwall
December 17, 1989 – January 14, 2017
Danville: Matthew D. Aspinwall, 27, of Danville, died January 14, 2017 in Kensington.
Born in Newburyport, MA, son of David E. and Laurie A. (Holt) Aspinwall, he was raised and educated in Kingston and Danville and graduated from Timberlane Regional High School with the Class of 2008.
He was presently working at Mark Richey Woodworking in Newburyport.
An accomplished musician, Matthew played guitar, piano, the drums, bass guitar and banjo and was a member of several bands: Black Lake, These Birds Is Dead and Something//Something, and entertained at local venues. He was also an incredible songwriter with volumes of his work written mostly about nature. An avid reader, he enjoyed spending time at the beach, taking care of his numerous plants, collecting and polishing rocks, and woodworking. He was a gentle, compassionate, and selfless young man, who was a good listener to his family and friends and was devoted to the rights of animals and the disenfranchised members of society.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his parents, David E. and Laurie A. (Holt) Aspinwall, of Danville, his sister and best friend, Hannah L. Aspinwall, of Portsmouth, paternal grandparents, Rev. Robert and Lois (Washburn) Aspinwall of Nashua, maternal grandparents, Gerald E. Holt of Plaistow and Nancy E. (Schenck) Holt of Alfred, Maine, several aunts, uncles, cousins and his feline friend "Cece".
