Plaistow, NH: MaryAnn (Bogdzewic) Peaslee, 70, a resident of Plaistow since 1992, and formerly of Lowell, MA, died October 26, 2021 at Merrimack Valley Hospital in Haverhill.
Born, raised and educated in Lowell and daughter of the late Alphonse and Lorraine (Bernard) Bogdzewic, she graduated Lowell High School with the Class of 1968. She was employed for thirty years at the IRS, first as a tax examiner and later in customer service until her retirement in 2014.
A former member of Sacred Hearts Parish of Lowell, MaryAnn enjoyed spending time in her home, playing cards and taking her chances with scratch tickets. She was devoted to her family and also made it a point to teach all of her children and grandchildren how to play Cribbage, her favorite card game.
Predeceased in 2014 by her husband of forty-three years, Arthur D. Peaslee, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two daughters, Kristy Izzo and her husband Robert of Plaistow and Tina M. Desrochers and her fiancé John Hardy of Salem, NH, five grandchildren, Nikki Lord, Jocelyn Morales, Bret Desrochers, Kyle Izzo and his wife Alexis, and Aaron Izzo, three great-grandchildren, Alannah, Emmett, and Aemelia, and a niece Susan Cortez of Anchorage, Alaska. She was predeceased by a brother David Bogdzewic and a sister Ellen "Frannie" Martin.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend MaryAnn's graveside service to be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at 12 o'clock p.m. at The New Hampshire State Veterans' Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH. Those wishing to join the family in a procession to the graveside are asked to meet at the Administration Building no later than 11:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to a local food bank or to Toys for Tots, both favorite charities of MaryAnn and her late husband.
