Plaistow, NH: Mary F. (Doran) Walsh, 86, of Plaistow and formerly of Somerville, MA, died on March 9, 2021 at the Hannah Duston Healthcare Center, Haverhill, MA.
Born in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada, the daughter of the late Patrick and Florence (Howse) Doran, she was raised and educated in Newfoundland. Mary came to the United States in 1959 and settled first in Cambridge, MA, and later moved to Somerville in 1974, where she resided for thirty years. She was employed as a Records Keeper for twenty years for Microsemi in Waltham, MA.
A resident of Plaistow for the last fifteen years, Mary was an active member of St. Luke the Evangelist Parish, Plaistow, NH, where she volunteered her time at the Food Pantry and the parish Holiday Bazaar. She was an avid candlepin bowler up until recently and was very devoted to her family, who were the most important part of her life.
Predeceased in 2004 by her husband of fifty years, John H. Walsh, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Eugene P. and Janet Walsh of Methuen, MA, John K. and Gilda Walsh of Somerville, MA; two daughters and a son-in-law, Michele Walsh of Fairhaven, MA and Victoria and Albert DeRosa of Plaistow, NH; six grandchildren, Kirk, Bonnie, Melissa, Arianna, David and Jonathan; twelve great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be private for the family. Relatives and friends may attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Friday, March 12, 2021, at 10 AM at Holy Angels Church of St. Luke the Evangelist Parish, 8 Atkinson Depot Road, Plaistow, NH. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen, MA. Arrangements are under the direction of Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH.
