Mary Adrienne (Pigeon) Troian, 95, a longtime resident of Haverhill, MA, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023 at Haverhill Crossings Assisted Living surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Alfred R.Troian, Jr., with whom she spent 66 years of marriage.

Mary was born in Amesbury, MA on December 3, 1928 and was the daughter of the late Eugene and Albertine (Sevigny) Pigeon.

In her early years, Mary was employed at Western Electric. After raising her family, she took a position in the mailroom at the IRS, retiring after 10 years. She was a long-time parishioner of St. John the Baptist Church in Haverhill. She enjoyed crocheting, crafts, and cooking. Mary most especially cherished time with her family spent at their cottage on Sunset Lake in Hampstead, NH. She was deeply entrenched in her old neighborhood having lived on Goodale St. in Haverhill for over 70 years. She will be missed by the several generations of neighbors and friends who passed through the area over the years.

Mary is survived by her children Steven Troian and his spouse Steven Douglass of Somerville, MA and Linda Hastings and her husband Francis "Hank" of Hampstead, her grandchildren Keith Hastings and his wife Sara, Kevin Hastings and his wife Melissa and Kristine Shea and her husband Randy, her 9 great grandchildren and her two great-great granddaughters. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.

She was sadly predeceased by her siblings Robert Pigeon, Paul Pigeon, Rita Goodwin and Georgette Vik.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, January 5, 2024, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. Her funeral will begin on Saturday morning at 9:45 a.m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Church, 110 Lincoln Avenue, Haverhill, MA. Interment will follow at Walnut cemetery, Haverhill.
