Plaistow, NH:  Mary "Judie" Barton passed away peacefully on September 13, 2017 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born in Melrose, MA on June 30, 1938.  She grew up in Melrose, but spent her summers at the family farm in South Hampton, NH.

Judie lived for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She always had a great love of her collie dogs and animals through the years.  She taught girl scouts and 4-H for many years with each of her girls.  She had a great love for the mountains and after retirement they would go to camp in Stark, NH.

Judie was pre-deceased by her parents, Wallace and Helen (Brewer) Verge.  She was also pre-deceased by her husband, Ray Barton, who died on November 18, 2011.

She is survived by her children, Pauli Johnson and her husband, Peter of Plaistow, NH, Cathy Matton and her husband, Ed of Kingston, NH, Donna Estabook and her husband, John Higgins of Raymond, NH; four grandchildren, Sarah Johnson, Amy Matton, David Estabrook, Rany Estabrook and five great-grandchildren, Trenton Estabrook, Ada-Mae Estabrook, Anthony Sciacca, Allie and Andrew Estabrook.  She is also survived by her siblings, Susan Vet and her husband, Bob of Fremont, NH, Robert Verge and his wife, Rita of Laconia, NH and Richard Verge and his wife, Jenny of South Hampton, NH.
