Plaistow, NH: Mark W. "Papa" Martin, 66, died in his home, May 25, 2019, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Nebraska, he was the son of the late John and Mary (Rustermire) Martin. Mark spent his early childhood in Nebraska and then moved to Lynn where he graduated from Lynn Classical High School as a member of the Class of 1971. Mark was a machinist by trade working for Babco and then Little Enterprises in Ipswich from 2001 until 2018 when he had to retire due to his health.

Mark was very well read, some of his favorite authors were Mark Twain, Charles Dickens, Edgar Allan Poe, and John Grisham. He also loved to listen to all kinds of music, from rock, blues, jazz as well as show tunes, and attending the theater to see such favorites as Les Miserables. His other past times included watching Jeopardy, playing darts with his son-in-law, horseshoes, and of course cheering on his beloved Nebraska Cornhuskers and the Patriots. Above all else Mark loved his family and was a cherished son, brother, husband, partner, and Papa.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his companion of over twenty years, Karol Fitton of Plaistow, his daughters Tracy Keaton and her husband Shawn of Seabrook, and Erin Martin-Brown of Vermont, brothers John Martin and his wife Tanya Sagermann of Ontario, Canada, Kevin Martin of Lynn, MA, Michael Martin of Fremont, NE, Timmy Martin and his wife Paula of Saugus, MA, Robert Martin and his wife Lorri of Fremont, NH, and sister Joan Agretelis and her husband Nick of Bolton, MA, grandchildren Mikayla Martin of Plaistow, Jarret Martin of Plaistow, Colin Brown of Bellows Falls, VT, and Brady Keaton of Seabrook, as well as several nephews and nieces. Mark was predeceased by his wife Patrice (Canavan), son Jarret Martin, brother Danny Martin, and grandson Triston Bisbee.

Relatives and friends are invited to Mark's Life Celebration to be held on Friday May 31, 2019, from 4 PM to 7 PM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Plaistow, NH. His funeral service will follow at 7:15 PM in the funeral home.
