Burlington: Mark A. Nichols, 45, of Burlington and a former resident of Haverhill, died peacefully on July 19, 2021 at High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill, following a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born, raised and educated in Haverhill and was the son of David E. Nichols and the late Paula (Hill) Nichols, who died in February of this year. A member of the Haverhill High School Class of 1994, he graduated from Colby College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology, and later received his Master's Degree in Communication from Marquette University.

Mark was presently Vice-President of Sales and Investments at Adviser Investments of Newton, Massachusetts, where he has been employed since 2002. He served as a member of the firm's Portfolio Review Committee and was honored in 2019 by Boston Magazine for the fourth time as a Five Star Wealth Manager. He was previously employed at Putnam Investments.

An avid reader and Eagle Scout, Mark enjoyed Bruce Springsteen Concerts. He was an avid football fan as well as a horse racing enthusiast and attended several Kentucky Derbies. He also enjoyed watching the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his father David E. Nichols of Haverhill, his brother and sister-in-law, Michael D. and Andrea Nichols, and his two nephews Jackson and Harrison Nichols, all of Haverhill and an aunt and uncle, Susan and David Potter of Jacksonville, NC.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his calling hours to be held on Monday, July 26, 2021 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill. His funeral will begin on Tuesday morning, July 27, at 9 a.m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Saint James Church, Winter St., Haverhill.
