Mark Clement Foynes, 53, a resident of Plaistow, NH died on Friday, August 15, 2025 at Exeter Hospital in Exeter, NH.
He was born in Haverhill, MA on July 4, 1972 and was the son of Charlene (Siek) and the late Donald Clement Foynes. Mark was raised and educated in Plaistow, NH and was a graduate of Timberlane High School. He received a bachelor's degree from St. Anselm College in Manchester, NH and a master's degree from the University of New Hampshire in Durham, NH. He worked as a free lance writer with Bayside Publications, before becoming the director of the Wright Museum in Wolfeboro, NH. He later was director of the New Hampshire Farm Museum in Milton, NH. Most recently he was employed at East Coast Lumber in Hampstead, NH.
Mark had a great love of history and published a book, "The History of Plaistow", which can be found at local stores. He volunteered his time at the Plaistow Historical Society for several years. He also enjoyed nature and music and was an accomplished guitarist. Mark was a loving son and father, kind and considerate. He also loved animals, especially his rescue cat, Bubba.
Besides his mother, Mark is survived by his children Eric Foynes and Cadie Foynes both of Milton, NH, his wife, Sarah (Ricker) Foynes of Milton, NH, his uncle Christopher Siek of Haverhill, MA, his close friend Jerome Ryan, of Haverhill, MA, and many cousins and friends.
Mark was sadly predeceased by his brother, Patrick Foynes who passed away in 2023.
Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation on Thursday, August 21, 2025 from 9:00 am – 10:30 am at the Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home 116 Main St. Plaistow, NH. A funeral mass will follow at 11:00 am at St. Luke the Evangelist Parish, 8 Atkinson Depot Rd., Plaistow, NH. Internment will be in Holy Angels Cemetery, Plaistow, NH.
