Plaistow: Mark H. Chapman, 71, a resident of Plaistow for over forty years, died peacefully on Sunday, February 19, 2023 at The Arbors of Bedford, New Hampshire.
Born and raised in Beverly, Massachusetts, son of the late Robert and Lois (Hall) Chapman, he graduated as a machinist from Beverly Trade School with the Class of 1971.
Mark was first employed as machinist prior to joining the family business Pride's Crossing Craftsmen of Essex, MA. Later, he was employed for twenty years in various departments at Wal-Mart in Plaistow.
An active and supportive member of Saint Christopher's Episcopal Church of East Hampstead, Mark was a friend of Bill W. He enjoyed hiking, vegetable gardening, and playing cribbage, pool and golf.
He was the loving husband of the late Gail (Sasso) Chapman. He recently celebrated twenty-five years of marriage with his wife Ingrid (deBeche) Chapman. He is the father of Eric Chapman and is also sadly missed and lovingly remembered by a daughter Lisa Marie Chapman of Barrington, NH and two step daughters, Amy Holmes of Ipswich, MA, and Margaret Schrank of Lynn, MA, a brother Thomas Chapman of Rochester, NH, eight grandchildren, Macy Gail, Jason, Irene, Anna, Beth, Jack, Nicole and Jessenia, four great-grandchildren, Anthony, Bryce, Lucille, and Lydia and nieces, Karen, Roberta and Alice. He was predeceased by four brothers, Frank Chapman, Bob Chapman, Steve Chapman, and Jeff Chapman. He will be mourned by friends from all parts of his life, especially Scott Britton, who supported him and his family as Mark's health declined
All are invited to Mark's Life Celebration to be held on Friday, March 3, 2023 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street., Plaistow, NH. A Funeral Liturgy and Communion Service will be offered on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 5:00 P.M. in Saint Christopher's Episcopal Church, 187 East Road, East Hampstead, NH. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, or to the charity of the donor's choice.
