Obituary

Marjorie Lorraine (Tremblay) Pappas of Kingston, NH, formerly of Hampton, NH died on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at Exeter Hospital in Exeter, NH. She was the beloved wife of the late George Pappas.

She was born on August 11, 1927 in Haverhill, MA and was the daughter of the late Alcide W. and Blanche (Lifebure) Tremblay. She graduated from Haverhill High School, Class of 1946 and attended Wheelock College studying early childhood education and kindergarten education. Marjorie was a member of the U.S.F.S.A and ice-skating institute of America. There she earned all required badges needed for dancing I & II. Marjorie taught clinics at Haverhill Memorial Rink, Rangers Rink in Methuen and Lynn Arena in Lynn, MA. She worked for N.E.T&T as a telephone operator after high school and in later years as a receptionist for the former Western Electric in North Andover. She was community minded and volunteered at the Hale Hospital reception desk. During summer months she taught arts and crafts to children at the former St. Joseph’s Parish and the First Baptist Church, both in Haverhill.

During her years of retirement, she and her husband George enjoyed traveling. They spent twenty-five years in Myrtle Beach South Carolina during the winter months. Marjorie was an avid golfer and was thrilled to get a hole in one at Pineland Country Club in Nicholas SC, playing with the ladies from PA and Canada. Marjorie, her husband George, and her son David were often seen on Saturdays playing golf on local fairways.

Marjorie is survived by her only son David Pappas.

Her funeral service and interment will be held privately.
