Haverhill, MA: Marion M. (Miller) Bombard, 91, of Haverhill, died on Saturday March 2, 2019 at Holy Family Hospital in Haverhill.
Born and raised in Haverhill, the daughter of the late Earl and Margaret (Croston) Miller, she attended the area schools and was a graduate of Haverhill High School. Marion worked for many years as a secretary for the City of Haverhill in the Planning Department. She was also a member of the Women's City Club and the City Hall Retirees Club where she helped plan their biannual events. Her family was everything to her, and one of the things that brought her great joy was cooking Sunday night supper for her family. She also made Halloween costumes for her grandchildren many times. Marion was an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan. She also loved the beach, particularly, Ogunquit, ME.
Marion will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sons Stephen Bombard and his wife Carole of Byfield, MA, Brian Bombard and his wife Pattie of Danville, NH, daughters Sharon O'Connor and her husband Kevin of Sandown, NH, Christine Owen and her husband Jeff of East Hampstead, NH, eight grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Predeceased by her husband of sixty-four years Ernest D. Bombard, and brother Richard Miller.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Tuesday March 5, 2019 from 4 PM to 6 PM at Brookside Chapel and Funeral Home, 116 Main St. Plaistow, NH. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 15, 2019, at 10 AM at St. James Church. Burial to follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
