Haverhill, MA: Marilyn J. (Sheltra) Siney, 78, of Haverhill, MA, died on September 22, 2019, at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, MA.

Born in North Stratford, VT, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Christine (Bullis) Sheltra. She spent her early childhood in upstate Vermont surrounded by a large loving family. Her parents moved to Haverhill, MA in 1950 with their three children. Her quick wit and sense of humor will be remembered by all who knew her. Marilyn had a lifelong love of music and performed in local venues until starting her own family. She enjoyed cooking and loved travelling, going to Hawaii twice with her devoted husband, Philip. Together they provided a home, love and support for each other and their children who called her "Ma".

Marilyn will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her loving husband of fifty-six years, Philip Siney, her sons, Brian Siney of Maryville, TN, Scott Siney and his wife, Cindy of New Bedford, MA and Dennis Siney of Haverhill, MA; daughter, Lisa and her fiancé, Kevin Aro, her stepsons Philip Siney Jr. and his wife, Adrian of Haverhill and David Siney and his wife of Westerly, RI; her sister, Carol Ann LaPlume of NC; grandchildren Nicholas, Denise, Nichole, Amber and Scott. She was predeceased by her brother, Dennis H. Sheltra.

Relatives and friends may call on Friday, September 27, 2019, from 4 to 6 PM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH.  A funeral service will follow at 6:15 PM in the funeral home.
