Obituary

Haverhill: Marilyn E. (Kenyon) Phair, 81, a longtime resident of Haverhill, died Thursday, October 11, 2018, at Maplewood Nursing Center in Amesbury.

Born in Lawrence, daughter of the late Ralph and Edla Kenyon, she was raised in Methuen and educated in the local public schools, graduating with the Searles High School Class of 1952.

Mrs. Phair attended secretarial school and worked as a bookkeeper at Kaufman Paper Products of Haverhill and later at K.P.I. of Salem NH, and finally as a teacher's aide at the Hilltop Kindergarten.

A member of All Saints Parish and the former Saint Joseph Parish, she was a founding member of Our Lady's Life in Christ Prayer group as well as a longtime member of the Third Order Of Mary and a longtime volunteer for the All Saints Food Pantry.

Devoted first to her family and to her cat "Loki", she enjoyed baking and cooking and maintaining a warm and loving home for her family and their many friends. She leaves a legacy of giving to her family, her church and her community and believed in and lived the words of the Prayer of Saint Francis.

Predeceased in 1994 by her loving husband, Charles F. Phair, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Judith C. Provencher and her husband Antoine of Haverhill and Donna M. Phair and her fiancé Roger Rivers of Bradford, a sister Jane Conradsen of Hampstead, NH, four grandchildren, Jessica Bellamy, Crystal Hatin, Timothy Blazonis and Thomas Phair, great-grandchildren, Jake Smith, Lila Smith, and Isabella Smith, two step-grandchildren, Zackary Rivers and Joshua Rivers and other extended family.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Marilyn's Life Celebration to be held on Monday, October 15, 2018 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St, Plaistow, NH. Her funeral will begin on Tuesday at 9 a.m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in All Saints Church, 120 Bellevue Avenue, Haverhill, MA. Burial will be held at a later date. The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Saint Vincent de-Paul Society of All Saints Parish, 120 Bellevue Avenue, Haverhill, MA, or to Merrimack Valley Hospice.
