Fremont, NH: Marie A. (Lajeunesse) Palen, 76, a resident of Fremont for the past thirty-five years, died Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at Exeter Hospital, following an extended illness.

Born in Haverhill, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Tilden and Mildred (Forsyth) Lajeunesse and was raised in Merrimac. She attended Pentucket Regional High School as was employed first at Western Electric, AT&T Technologies and Lucent Technologies for twenty years. She later worked at Wang Laboratories before establishing her own cleaning business, Ann's Cleaning Service, which she operated until retiring in 2012.

Marie enjoyed trips to Jamaica, and Foxwoods with her dear friends, Stephanie and Beverly, and enjoyed completing puzzles. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and cherished the many times that she spent with her family and friends.

Marie is lovingly remembered and will be sadly missed by her loving husband of fifty-nine years, Daniel J. Palen, her two sons and daughters-in-law Paul W. and Gloria Palen of Pelham, and Brian J. and Lucineia Palen of Danville, a daughter-in-law Mary Maille of Salem, NH; her grandchildren Daniel Palen and Katie Palen, her sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Steven Fyfe of Haverhill, a brother-in-law and his wife, Richard and Cathy Palen of Freedom, NH, a sister-in-law Barbara Bailey and several nieces and nephews, and her dear friends, Stephanie Stanley of Newton, NH, and Beverly LeBlanc of Atkinson.

A private family graveside service will be held at Saint Patrick's Cemetery in Haverhill, MA. The family requests that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
