Fremont, NH: Maria "Mary" (Loeser) Wheaton, 90, and a resident of Fremont since 2002, died peacefully on September 6, 2021, surrounded by her daughter and grand-daughters, at Exeter Hospital.

Born in Wiesbaden, Germany, Mary was the daughter of the late Hans and Maria Loeser, and attended local schools. Following her marriage in 1957 to U.S. Army Sergeant First Class George W.W. Wheaton, Mary moved to the United States, later settling in Atkinson in 1974, until moving to Fremont nineteen years ago.

Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who enjoyed the role of a housewife, creating a warm and loving home for her family. Mary also enjoyed gardening and solving crossword and word search puzzles.

Predeceased in 2014 by her husband of fifty-seven years, George W.W. Wheaton, Mary will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter, Maria E. "Mary" Wheaton-Pinder and her husband Richard Pinder of Fremont, two granddaughters, Danielle Stone and her husband Liam of South Hampton, NH, and Jennifer Picone and her fiancé Joe L'Ecuyer of Danville,NH; great-grandchildren, Selah Stone, Imogen Stone and Blake L'Ecuyer; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was looking forward to the birth of her newest great-grandson Luke L'Ecuyer. She was predeceased by her brothers Hans and Rolf Loeser.

A private family graveside service will be held in Holy Angels Cemetery, Plaistow, NH under the direction of Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home of Plaistow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Rescue, Inc. 54 Pleasant St, Newburyport, MA 01950, or to NHSPCA, 104 Portsmouth Ave., Stratham, NH 03885.
