Atkinson, NH: Marguerite L. "Margo" (Laferriere) Brown, 47, died on January 4, 2015 at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House following a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Lowell, MA and raised and educated in Tewksbury, daughter of Elizabeth "Bette" (Doucette) Laferriere and the late Roderick Laferriere, she graduated from Presentation of Mary Academy in Hudson, NH with the Class of 1985. She went on to attend Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, MA.

Margo had been employed first at Inframetrics in Billerica, MA and later at Mectrol in Salem, NH before taking time off to raise her children. She was most recently employed as a customer service representative for W.W. Grainger in Manchester, NH.

An avid cook, Margo enjoyed sailing, skiing, and golfing. She was a former sailing instructor in Lowell on the Merrimack River and a ski instructor at Loon Mountain for eight years. Margo raced Mercury Class Sailboats and kept a J24 sailboat in Portsmouth.

She is survived by her husband of twenty-one years, Robert A. Brown, two daughters, Sierra E. Brown and Laurel A. Brown both of Atkinson, NH, her mother, Elizabeth "Bette" (Doucette) Laferriere of Tewksbury, MA, four brothers, Roderick Laferriere, Jr. of Windham, NH, Robert "Paul" Laferriere of Dracut, MA, Scott Laferriere of Tewksbury, MA, and Wayne Laferriere of Tewksbury, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
