Obituary


Marguerite (Allen) Gallant, 92, a longtime resident of Lawrence and Haverhill, died Monday morning, March 4, 2013, at Penacook Place.


Born in Amherst, Nova Scotia, daughter of the late Fred and Ida (Gallant) Allen, she was raised in Maine and Massachusetts, graduating from Sacred Hearts High School in Fall River. A resident of Lawrence for over fifty years, Mrs. Gallant was a former member of Mount Carmel Parish in Methuen.



She was employed as an assembler at Western Electric Co. and A T & T Technologies before her retirement and was a member of Saint John The Baptist Parish, Haverhill. She enjoyed traveling and playing cards.



She is survived by her husband Alban J. Gallant and several nieces and nephews.



Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday morning, March 6, 2013 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at BERUBE- Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. in Saint John the Baptist Church, Lincoln Avenue, Haverhill and entombment at St. Mary's-Immaculate Conception Mausoleum, Lawrence. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to The Patient Activity Fund of Penacook Place, 150 Water St., Haverhill, MA 01830.
