Hampstead, NH: Margaret R. (Russell) Wood, "Marge", 91, of Hampstead, passed away with her family by her side, on Friday August 14, 2020.

Born in Strafford, VT, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Dorothy (Russell) Russell, and she was a graduate of Thetford Academy in Thetford, VT, Class of 1947. While raising her family she also worked the night shift as a line operator at Western Electric in North Andover, MA. Marge enjoyed square dancing, spending time with friends, and was a devoted parishioner at Hampstead Congregational Church for over thirty years. Above all else, her family was the most important part of her life. She cherished being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Marge will be sadly missed and forever in the hearts of her children, son, Michael Wood and his wife Lisa of New London, NH, daughters, Karen Preston and her husband Ronald of South Hampton, NH, Patricia Mayo and her husband Walter of Stafford Springs, CT, Deborah Lacasse and her husband Michael of Manchester, NH, grandchildren, Vanessa Mayhew, Joshua Mayo, Mark Lacasse, Jill Hiers, Kathryn DeCosta, Anne Preston, Thomas Wood, and Ian Wood, great grandchildren, Elijah, Grace, Eva, and Cora Mayhew, Ezra, Silas, Ainley, and Zoe Claire Mayo, Emily and Joshua Hiers, Ellie and Matthew Lacasse, Sophia and Maggie DeCosta. She was predeceased by her husband of almost fifty years, Stanley L. Wood, and her sisters, Vivian Kill and Gladys Pixley.

Relatives and friends are invited to Margaret's Graveside Service at 1 pm on Friday August 21, 2020, at Atkinson Cemetery, 118 NH-121, Atkinson, NH, following the guidelines of the State of New Hampshire for social distancing and the wearing of face masks.
