Obituary

Plaistow, NH: Margaret T. (McKenna) Prescott, 90, a resident of Plaistow since 1995, died peacefully on Saturday, October 14, 2017, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born and raised in Underhill, Vermont, daughter of the late Thomas and Delia (Creaghan) McKenna, she attended Saint Mary's Academy.

Mrs. Prescott was a resident of Haverhill from 1950 until 1985 and was employed as a solderer at Western Electric Co., A T & T Technologies and Lucent Technologies for over thirty years. A former resident of Sandown before moving to Plaistow twenty-two years ago, Mrs. Prescott was a member of Saint James Parish and Saint John the Baptist Parish, The Communication Workers of America and the Telephone Pioneers of America.

An avid bowler as a member of the Western Electric League, she also enjoyed dancing and the music of Englebert Humperdinck. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and enjoyed the times that she spent with all of her family.

The wife of the late Raymond Prescott, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by daughters and sons-in-law, Mary "Pat" Descheneau, of Plaistow, Pamela J. Prescott and her husband Ronald Ellis of Portland, ME, and Ellen M. Freeman and her husband Alan of Haverhill, MA, a son, Michael R. Prescott of Derry, two sisters, Patricia Veins of Ft. Myers, Florida, and Dorothy McKenna of Burlington, VT, a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Donald and Sue Prescott of Plaistow, eight grandchildren, Kelly Descheneau, Eugene "Rusty" Descheneau, Eric Freeman, Sean Freeman, Emily Freeman, Hanna Freeman, Michael R.A. Prescott and Melissa Visco, eight great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews  and her two dogs "Vinnie" and "Diesel".

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mrs. Prescott's Life Celebration to be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. Her funeral will be held on Thursday at 9 a.m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Saint James Church, Winter St, Haverhill. Burial will follow in Saint James Cemetery. Donations in her name may be made to Saint Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN.
