Obituary

Margaret (Peggy) McIntyre (Kershaw), our beloved mother from Epping, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully and gracefully on August 18, 2025. Surrounded by loved ones, she heard the words "I love you" until the very end.

Peggy is survived by her devoted husband of 52 years, Franklin McIntyre. She leaves behind her daughter, Dawn Nicolaisen, and her husband, Hans; her son, Todd O'Neil; and her daughter, Michele Dennis, and her husband, Will. She was preceded in death by her oldest daughter, Julie Rennie, and her husband, Mark. Peggy's sons-in-law—Mark, Hans, and Will—have been more than just in-laws; they have been cherished members of her family since a young age. She is also survived by her sister, Barbara Arnold, and her husband, Nelson, as well as eleven grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.

Also preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Eileen Kershaw; her sister, Janice Hunt; and her brother, William (Billy) Kershaw.

For Peggy, life centered on her beloved family. She was a deeply loving mother and grandmother, finding her greatest joy in caring for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a living example of someone who simply wanted to love others and feel needed. She was deeply loved and greatly valued by everyone in her family.

Peggy also took great pride in her spotless home and garden, which she happily maintained until the very end. We are sure she will be the official cleaning lady in Heaven. She made sure to give instructions for cleaning the fridge and weed whacking during her last hours, even as we reminisced and shared funny stories.

During her many years living in Danville, New Hampshire, she and her husband, Frank, proudly served in the volunteer fire department and rescue team. They enjoyed working together and took great pride in their service, which brought pride to their family. They also participated in most events in the small town of Danville during the 70s and 80s, forming many lifelong friendships.

In 1989, Mom and Dad moved to Florida to be closer to her parents and spent a lot of time caring for them. Shortly after relocating, her dad, Arthur (Bumpa), became ill and passed away. Mom believed it was God's will that she had moved to Florida and spent the last year of her father's life caring for him.

In 2006, Mom and Dad relocated back to New Hampshire to spend their retirement years closer to their beloved family.

Most importantly, above all else, Mom's strong Christian faith and personal relationship with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, were the guiding forces in her life. This faith comforted us, knowing she is at peace and that we will be reunited someday.

We will miss her deeply. The void left by a mother and wife cannot be filled, and no one else or nothing else can take her place. We believe with all our hearts that you are finally at peace and in a much better place. We love you.

Revelation 21:4 "He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away."

Private services will be scheduled at a later date. Instead of flowers, mom (Peg) asks everyone to love one another and to share the news of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
