East Hampstead, NH: Margaret M. (Carbone) Noonan, 94, a resident of East Hampstead since 1978 and a former resident of Byron Street in Bradford, died on March 9, 2016 at Wingate Nursing Home in Haverhill, MA.
Born and raised in Haverhill, daughter of the late Louis and Teresa (Bevilacqua) Carbone, Mrs. Noonan graduated from Haverhill High School with the Class of 1939. An accomplished pianist, Mrs. Noonan was a piano teacher for over seventy-five years. She and her late husband, Robert, taught piano out of their home for many years and nurtured the musical ability of thousands of students to whom they were very devoted.
A member of Sacred Hearts Parish of Bradford and St. Anne's Parish in Hampstead for many years, Mrs. Noonan enjoyed candle pin bowling and was a State and East Coast Champion in her younger years. She enjoyed reading and was a volunteer at the East Hampstead Library. A devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, especially summer vacations in Alton Bay on Lake Winnipesaukee.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert F. Noonan, and is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis E. and Audrey J. Noonan of Bradford, and Mark L. and Patricia C. Noonan of Bradford, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Jean Carbone of Andover, and Attilio and Virginia Carbone of Bradford, three grandchildren, Claudette M. Ennis and her husband John, Everett R. Noonan and his wife Jillian, and Angela Ferreira and her husband Jarod, four great grandchildren, Samantha Noonan, Cassidy Noonan, Courtney Noonan, and Ashlynn Ferreira, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, Aldo Carbone, and her sister, Claudia Sawyer.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mrs. Noonan's Life Celebration on Sunday, March 13 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill. Her funeral will begin on Monday at 9 a.m. from the funeral home with a Liturgy of the Word at 10 a.m. in Sacred Hearts Church, Bradford. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Bradford.
