IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Marcia J.
Genualdo
September 16, 1947 – January 3, 2026
Sandown, NH: Marcia J. Genualdo, 78, of Sandown, passed away on January 3, 2026, at Colonial Poplin Nursing Facility.
Marcia was a professional iPad player, a master of ripping butts, and a lover of Bacardi and 7-Up. She used to cheat playing Yahtzee with her three kids and loved to instigate Dad, making them act like Edith & Archie Bunker! Both Mom and Dad expressed their love by giving the finger, which we called the "Genualdo Salute."
Marcia was born in Gloucester, MA, daughter of the late Roland and Evelyn Wise. She was predeceased by her husband, Ciro A. Genualdo, and by her brother, Alan Wise, her sister, Brenda Wise, and her son-in-law, Scott Ellison.
Marcia's three children survive her:
Artie was constantly messing with her, making her laugh and annoying her at the same time.
Cissy was always accused of "being just like her father" (as if that was a bad thing!); and
Gina was the baby of the family, so she got special treatment!
She will be genuinely missed by:
Son & family: Arthur (Artie) and Joy Genualdo of Sandown, NH, and their children, Nicole Keirsted, Kyle and Kaylee Genualdo;
Daughter & family: Roselyn (Ciss) and Jason Langianese of Bedford, NH, and their children, Brooke and Colin Langianese, and her favorite Frenchie, Dash;
Daughter & family: Gina Ellison of Plaistow, NH, and her children, Alexia and Julia Greenwood, and granddaughter, Everleigh Faith.
Brother: Rodney Wise
Sister & brother-in-law: Annette & John Kukene
Cousins-in-law: Ciretta & Frank Carroll
Best friends: Joe & Dee LaRuffa
Along with many nieces & nephews.
We know Dad (Sonny) has been waiting for Mom to join him since his passing in March of 2023. We also know that Mom enjoyed a few years of doing her own thing without having to cook for him every night, but she was ready to be reunited so they could give each other that one-finger salute once again. We find great comfort in knowing that Mom is reunited with Scott Ellison, whom we tragically lost in November. Scott told Gina before he passed that he would be waiting for Mom and promised to take care of both her and Dad in heaven.
The family is holding private services.
