Obituary

Hampstead: Marann Ferranti, 69, a resident of Hampstead since 1992, passed on to Heaven peacefully at home with her loving family by her side, as her long-time Pastor and friend prayed with them, on October 8, 2024,  following a valiant fight with an extended illness.

Born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, daughter of the late Anthony and Jacqueline (Moschella) Ferranti, Marann grew up  in North Metropolitan Boston before moving out on her own as a young adult to Martha's Vineyard.

Marann then graduated first in her class in the Dental Hygiene Program at Middlesex College and went on to earn her Bachelor's Degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Rhode Island, second in her class there. While at Middlesex and URI she acted and sang in many plays and musicals as a member of their drama clubs.   Marann worked as a Registered Dental Hygienist in Rhode Island and later in Andover, Mass., for a total of nearly 20 years. Marann was also granted  a U.S. patent for dental equipment that she invented, trade-marked as "Ergo-Grasp."

An active member of Rock Church in Sandown and Plaistow, she sang in the Contemporary Christian Praise Band and served on several community charitable projects over the years. She was also active in the Hampstead Lions Club and spearheaded several community service projects such as clothing drives, and co-chaired the annual Hampstead Easter Pancake Breakfast several times. She was a kind, loving and gracious lady who generously and selflessly reached out to those who needed help or support, even independently on her own time by her own means.

A strong wife and devoted mother, Marann was proud of her family and their passions and accomplishments and supported and encouraged her husband and sons  in whatever activities they  loved:  camping, fishing, dancing, beach-going, in earlier years; learning and watching sports, target shooting with the Chester Road & Gun Club, playing cards with visiting friends, and following streaming "series" her sons liked, in later years. She always enjoyed cooking and creating a warm and loving home.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of forty-one years, Harold "Hal" Beede, three sons, David Beede and his partner Jessica Bedol of Los Angeles, CA, Elijah Beede of Los Angeles and Nathaniel "Nate" Beede of Hampstead, two brothers Joe Ferranti and Paul Ferranti, and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
