Obituary

Haverhill, MA:  M. Louise (Minichiello) Meola, 104, of Haverhill, died on June 8, 2021 at the Hannah Duston Healthcare Center, Haverhill.

Born in Hamilton, MA, the daughter of the late John and Mary Louise(DeLuca) Minichiello, Louise was raised in Ipswich, MA and graduated from Ipswich High School with the Class of 1934.  She went on to attend Essex Agricultural and Technical High School in Hawthorne, graduating with the Class of 1939, earning an Associates Degree in Home Economics.  She was employed as an assembly line worker and later as a Supervisor for Sylvania Corporation in Danvers, and for many years in the Haverhill Public School System as a Cafeteria Worker at the Bartlett, Whittier and Consentino Schools.

A resident of the Mount Washington neighborhood for most of her life, she was a member of All Saints Parish, Haverhill and a former member of St. Rita's Parish and St. George's Parish, where she was a member of St. George's Catholic Women's Club.  Louise was a wonderful cook and flower gardener.  She enjoyed many outings to Crane's Beach, the ocean and traveling to relatives' homes and especially the many "tea parties" with her East Boston relatives.

The widow of John Meola who died in 2004, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her son and daughter-in-law, Al J. and Sheila Meola of Haverhill,MA and Newton, NH; a granddaughter in-law, Libbyanne Meola of Amesbury, MA; two great-grandchildren, Melora and Vincent Meola; former daughter-in-law, Cynthia Basiliere of Haverhill, MA and several nieces and nephews.  She was pre-deceased in 2016 by her grandson, John "Jay" Meola.

Relatives and friends may call on Monday, June 14, 2021, from 10 AM to 12 PM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH.  A Funeral Service will follow in the Funeral Home at 12:15 PM with burial following in St. Patrick Cemetery, Haverhill, MA. Masks are optional for those attending who have been vaccinated.
