Haverhill: Lucy H. (Deorocki) Wyka, age 86, a longtime resident of Haverhill, died Monday, July 2, 2018 at the Hannah Duston Healthcare Facility.

Born and raised in Newburyport, daughter of the late Joseph and Alexandra (Skrabucka) Deorocki, she attended local schools and graduated Newburyport High School with the Class of 1949. A resident of Haverhill since 1953, Mrs. Wyka was employed as a dietary aide at the former Glynn Memorial Hospital, and was a longtime and active member of Saint John the Baptist Parish of Haverhill.

An avid reader, Mrs. Wyka also enjoyed needlepoint, rug hooking, and bingo. A devoted wife to her husband Andy, whom she felt was gone too soon from her life, she was also a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and enjoyed hosting family parties for every occasion.

Predeceased in 2000 by her husband of forty-nine years Andrew J. "Andy" Wyka, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her three daughters and sons-in-law, Kathleen and Stephen Sweezey of Saugus, Rosemary and Benjamin Klaus of North Conway, NH, and Sandra and James Denman of Haverhill, a brother Chester Deorocki of Lowell, five grandsons, Andrew Sweezey, Kevin Klaus, Brian Klaus, Justin Vose and Eric Vose, two great grandchildren, Charles and Caroline Klaus, and other extended family members.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mrs. Wyka's Life Celebration to be held on Friday, July 6, 2018 from 9 to 10 a.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. Her funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. in Saint John the Baptist Church, Lincoln Avenue, Haverhill with burial in Saint Patrick's Cemetery.
