Bedford, NH; Lucinda Joyce (Corey) Boyd, 76, of Bedford Hills, former longtime resident of Newton, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2022, with her loving family by her side.

Born in Presque Isle, Maine, she was the daughter to the late Kenneth and Bessie (Sutherland) Corey. She was raised and educated in Presque Isle and was a graduate of Rockland High school, class of 1966.  She went on to work as a nursing assistant for many years at Holy Family Hospital. She also owned and operated a day care in her younger years.

Lucinda enjoyed gardening and crafting, especially painting, knitting, scrapbooking, and sewing, often giving those crafts to those she loved.  She was also an avid baker, having been known best for her pies. Lucinda's faith was very important to her. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Newton, NH.

Lucinda is lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Amy Bo and her husband, Sam of Gardner, MA and Lisa Boyd of Seabrook, NH; five grandchildren, Nicholas, Jessie, Jonathan, Marissa, and Carlie; a brother, Peter Corey of Bangor, ME and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Timothy Corey, and sister-in-law, Martha Corey.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, in the family lot at Highland Cemetery, Newton, New Hampshire.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to: The American Diabetes Association, P.
