Lucille Celia "Lou" Canavan, daughter of Lionel Levesque and Lea Dufrense Levesque was born October 21, 1940 in West Warwick, Rhode Island and passed from this life Monday, April 6, 2020 at Southern Hills Specialty Care in Osceola, Iowa at 79 years of age.

Lou received her education in West Warwick, Rhode Island graduating from the West Warwick High School. She was united in marriage to Arthur James Canavan, Sr. on December 31, 1959 at West Warwick, Rhode Island and three children, Arthur, Patricia and Nancy blessed this union.

Lou spent many years working as a Department manager for K-Mart where she was working with people and making many friends.

Playing bingo, flowers and tending to her garden and cats were some of Lou's favorite pastimes. However, she especially enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling to see her siblings over the years.

Those relatives who preceded Lucille in death were her parents and husband, Arthur James Canavan, Sr., who died on July 7, 1996.

Lucille leaves to cherish her memory, a son, Arthur James Canavan, Jr. (Christine) of Decatur, IA; two daughters, Patricia Bateman (Raymond) of Lakeville, Maine and Nancy Palmer (Doug Campiola) of Plaistow, NH; nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchidlren and two great-great-grandchidlren.  Also surviving are her brothers, Richard (Lorraine) Levesque of Gaffney, SC and Robert (Doris) Levesque of Ft. Smith, AR as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to Lou's Graveside Service to be held on Friday, September 25, 2020, at 11 AM at Plaistow Cemetery, Elm St., Plaistow, NH, following the guidelines of the State of New Hampshire for social distancing and the wearing of face masks.

Memorials may be given in Lou's name to the charity of the donor's choice.
