Louise “Billie” (Gorman) Aquillon, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 2, 2026 at the age of 92 surrounded by her daughters and her cherished grandson. A longtime resident of Hampstead, NH and formally Atkinson, NH she was the beloved wife of the late Jacques D. Aquillon. Born in Hoboken, New Jersey, to Louisa (Ehne) and William Wallace Gorman, Billie lived a life defined by devotion, kindness, curiosity, and quiet strength.

While studying Biology at Tufts University, Billie met the love of her life, Jacques Aquillon. Their connection was instant and enduring. Married for 67 years, they shared a partnership filled with laughter, adventure, and unwavering friendship. Jack was her best friend, and together they built a life rooted in love.

A graduate of Tufts University with a BS in Biology, Billie carried a lifelong fascination with the natural world. She found peace in gardening, tending to her plants with the same gentleness she offered everyone around her. She adored animals and treated every creature with compassion.

Billie loved traveling across the United States, exploring new places with a sense of wonder and gratitude. Whether discovering quiet corners of nature or visiting vibrant cities, she embraced each journey as an opportunity to learn, appreciate beauty, and share experiences with her family, and especially her husband after he retired.

She treasured spending time with her daughters. Billie and Danielle shared a special bond through their love of stamp collecting, carefully curating pieces of history together. With Claudine, she delighted in the Arts, finding joy in creativity, expression, and the beauty of human imagination.

Billie was also an avid photographer, capturing nature in all its beautiful and astonishing wonderments. Her photographs reflected her deep appreciation for the world around her and her ability to find magic in the everyday.

One of her greatest joys was watching movies with her grandson Nicky. The two shared a secret sense of humor—quiet, clever, and uniquely theirs—that brought countless smiles and moments of laughter. Their bond was tender, playful, and deeply cherished.

Billie will be remembered for her wonderfully kind heart — full of grace, empathy, and generosity. Above all else, she loved her family and friends. Her presence was a source of comfort, wisdom, and unconditional love, and her legacy lives on in the gardens she nurtured, the adventures she embraced, the memories she created, and the family she adored.

Billie was predeceased by her beloved Jack. She is survived by and will be sadly missed but forever remembered by her two daughters Danielle and Claudine and the second great love of her life, her grandson Nicky, who brought her endless joy. She also leaves behind her cousin Joan, a nephew, Phillip and nieces Michelle, Linda, and Christine.

In addition to her parents, Billie was predeceased by her sister-in-law Josette and her brother-in-law Alden.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date for family and friends.
