Salem NH: Lorraine G. (Marcoux) (Cormier) Amirault, 95 of Salem, NH, died December 11, 2025, at her home on Captain's Pond. She was born in the Brooklyn borough of New York City, daughter of the late Phillip Marcoux and Irene (Thibodeau) Marcoux. Lorraine was raised and educated in Haverhill, Massachusetts attending Saint Joseph Grammar School, and was a member of the Haverhill High School Class of 1948. She received her associate's degree in business from Bentley College and was first employed as the business manager of Women's Healthcare of West Newbury and retired from Pentucket Medical as the Chief Operation Officer.
An avid reader, Lorraine enjoyed dining out, traveling, yoga and Tai-Chi.
Lorraine was the wife of the late Donald J. Amirault, and mother of the late Alan Cormier, who died on Dec. 14, 2025, Wayne Cormier, who died in 1967, and Sharon Becotte who died in 2010, and great-grandmother of Joshua Pajunen, who died in 2019. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by a daughter Paula Cormier of Salem, a son Dr. David C. Cormier ,DDS, of Bonita Springs, Fl, a daughter-in-law, Michele (Viens) (Dube) Cormier of Atkinson, grandchildren, Jason Becotte and his wife Stepanie, Devon Cormier, Max Cormier, Amanda Cormier, Allison Pajunen, James Goodwin, great-grandchildren Hannah and Jackson Morel, Connor and MacKenzie Goodwin, a step daughter Cynthia Braddock and her husband James of Simi Valley, CA, and a cousin John Coughlin and his wife Michele of Hampton, NH.
A private graveside service for Lorraine and Donald will be held later in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Haverhill, MA. Arrangements are under the direction of Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, Plaistow, NH
