Obituary

Loreto J. DiVincenzo, age 97, passed away peacefully at his home in Bradford, MA on Thursday, June 22, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Haverhill, MA on June 3, 1926, and was the son of the late Giovanni and Maria (Parisse) DiVincenzo.

Loreto served in the US Army in 1945 as a T-5 Technician. He was a member of General Patton's 4th Armored Division, liberating many from German concentration camps. The 4th Armored was recognized by the Army's Center of Military History and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.

He is survived by his siblings Ralph DiVincenzo and his wife Margaret of Bradford, and Sandra Hills of Bradford, his nieces and nephews, John DiVincenzo, Dr. Cheryl Hills, Michael Hills, Karen Hills, Maria Pepin, Sandra Gauron, and Jeanne DiVincenzo, plus several great nieces and nephews. He was sadly predeceased by his siblings Alice Howard, Nilda Herrick, and Emilio DiVincenzo.

Funeral service and interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Research Hospital at stjude.org.  Arrangements are under the care and direction of Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill, MA.
