Hampstead, NH: Loren C. Swingle, 66, a resident of Hampstead since 2003, died May 11, 2017 at the Parkland Medical Center in Derry.

Born November 24, 1950, son of the late Ken and Flora (Wurstlin) Swingle, he was raised and educated in Hudson, NY. He graduated from Northeastern University with his degree in Industrial Engineering and attended Boston University. He received his Law Degree from Suffolk University and worked as an attorney for Verizon Corporation.  Following his retirement from Verizon he worked as a consultant to several companies.

Mr. Swingle was a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association and a longtime resident of Norwalk, Connecticut for many years until moving to Hampstead thirteen years ago.

An avid golfer, he was a member of the Senior Golf League at Apple Hill Golf Club in East Kingston. He was also an accomplished sailor and member of the Freedom Boat Club and a licensed pilot flying out of the Beverly and Lawrence Airports. He enjoyed traveling, reading and playing the guitar. His greatest joy was the role of the devoted and proud grandfather to Emma and he was anxiously awaiting the arrival of his second grandchild.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of twenty-nine years Susan (Love) Swingle, his daughter and son-in-law Kymberly L. and Brian Hussey of Andover , MA, his grand-daughter Emma Hussey, of Andover, a brother Jerry Swingle of Durango, Colorado, two nephews, Eric and Mark Swingle and several cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to Loren's Life Celebration to be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. His funeral service will follow at 5:15 in the funeral home, In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to www.musicdrivesus.org .
