Plaistow, NH: Lois K. (Libby) MacNeilly, 80, died Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, daughter of the late Charles and Bessie (Wilcox) Libby, she was raised and educated in Charlestown and graduated Charlestown High School with the Class of 1950.
Mrs. MacNeilly was employed for several years at Tel-Mark of Plaistow and later as a manager and sales person at Aqua Dream Pools of Plaistow.
A resident of Plaistow for over fifty years, Mrs. MacNeilly attended the First Baptist Church and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Carl Davis Post #34 of the American Legion. She enjoyed playing cards and participated in local 45's tournaments and also enjoyed reading, Bingo and her twice yearly trips to Las Vegas. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who proudly attended all of their sporting events and was also an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan.
She is survived by her husband of fifty-eight years, Melville C. MacNeilly, sons and daughters-in-law, James P. and Joy MacNeilly, of Goffstown, William D. and Linda MacNeilly of Fremont, and Kenneth J. MacNeilly and his companion Linda Greely of Danville, a brother Keith Libby of Reno, Nevada, a sister-in-law Joan Libby of Plaistow, three grandchildren, Jeffrey, Michael, and Molly MacNeilly, and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call on Sunday, March 9, 2014 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow NH Her funeral will be held on Monday at 10a.m. in the funeral home with burial to follow in Plaistow Cemetery.
