Lloyd H. Blackadar, 75, of Hampstead, NH died unexpectedly on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at his home. He was the son of the late Albert and Marlene (Hoyt) Blackadar.

He was born on July 17, 1949, in Haverhill, MA where he was raised and educated. Lloyd was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1967. He was a successful business owner in the insurance and Real Estate professions. His career in insurance started by working with his father at Blackadar Insurance in Plaistow, NH. He later opened Northeast Insurance and Northeast Real Estate, also in Plaistow, NH with his life partner Linda Desmond. Lloyd enjoyed playing golf, cards, trivia, and coin collecting. He was an avid skier in his younger days and loved spending time at his house on Sunset Lake with his family and friends. Lloyd spent many summer vacations in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire with Linda and his family. Lloyd and Linda both loved Christmas Eve and hosted family and friends and welcomed all that came with open arms. He was a member of the Haverhill Country Club for 50 years and was a member of the Plaistow Area Commerce Exchange (PACE).

Lloyd is survived by his sons Scott Blackadar of Atkinson, NH, and Jim Blackadar of Atkinson, NH and his partner Nancy Harris of Greenland, NH, his grandchildren Seth Blackadar, Troy Blackadar, Molly Blackadar, and Matt Blackadar, his nephew Beau Blackadar, and his niece Jade Blackadar.

He was sadly predeceased by his life partner, Linda Desmond in September of this year and his brother Albert (Duna) Blackadar.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, December 30, 2024, from 11am – 1pm at the Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St. Plaistow. A funeral service will follow at 1:15pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment in Lakeview Cemetery, Hampstead, NH.
