Obituary

Lisa Marie Doherty, 56, a longtime resident of Haverhill, MA, passed away peacefully in the arms of a loved one on September 21, 2018.

Born in Amesbury MA, daughter of the late Carol Bernice Crovetti and Alvin John Doherty. She went to school in Amesbury and was a longtime resident in her younger years. She leaves behind many loved ones of whom Lisa loved, cherished and brought so much joy to daily.

Lisa has touched many lives at many local organizations that she was affiliated with such as; The Arc, The Horizon's Club, Career Resources Corp, Class, Opportunity Works, and The Nevins. She was a very proud past employee of The Salvation Army in her younger years. Lisa was a proud volunteer at The Hill View Montessori Charter School making copies and listening to the children read stories.

She was a kind loving soul to the people she loved. Lisa was very proud of her ribbons and medals from the Special Olympics, enjoyed bowling, going to the movies, going for rides and most notably, Dunkin Donuts Large Ice Coffees. She loved the Patriots, the Red Sox, her crossword puzzles and notebooks. She was fiercely independent and had a contagious smile and laugh. She was most proud to be called "auntie" which started off with her two nephews early on. She became a devoted  "auntie Lisa" to all. Allie was Lisa's dog in which they shared a very special bond and they both brightened each others days. If you were a special man in her life, you sure knew who you were and that she touched your heart like no other woman ever can. She always enjoyed playing catch and dress up with the little ones that she adored. Dancing and listening to music was a must! She touched the lives of all whom she lived with in ways that can never be understood. She is sadly missed and will always be remembered and forever cherished in our hearts.

There will be no calling hours.  Relatives, friends and colleagues are invited to The Rock Church, 60 Newton Rd, Plaistow NH 03865 to Celebrate Lisa's Life on Friday October 5, 2018 at 11am, lunch will follow.
