Everett,MA: Lisa A. (Dearborn) DeFuria, 50, a resident of Everett for the past thirty-two years and a former resident of Kingston, NH, died Saturday, February 9, 2013 at her home, surrounded by her family and following a long illness.
Born in Rochester, NH, daughter of David Dearborn and the late Marcia (Lawrence) (Dearborn) Martin, she was raised in Somerville Massachusetts and Kingston NH, and attended Sanborn Regional high School.
Until recently, Lisa was employed as a commercial cleaner and thoroughly enjoyed her work. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and also enjoyed playing cards and outings to the beach.
She is survived by two sons, James DeFuria ,III of New Bedford, and David Cooper of Somerville, a daughter Rachel Cooper of Somerville, her father David Dearborn of Kingston, NH, her longtime companion Steven Gomes of Everett, a brother Stephen Dearborn of Raymond, NH, three sisters, Deborah Adams of Manchester, NH, Dawn Marino of Kensington, NH, and Suzanne Smith of Winthrop, MA, a grandson, Anthony DeFuria, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two brothers, David Mark Dearborn and David A. Dearborn, Jr.
Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Route 121A, Plaistow, NH. A funeral service will follow at 8:15 at the funeral home. Donations in her name may be made to The American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA.
