Haverhill, MA: Lillian M. (Rabidoux) (Dolfe) Sherburne, age 100, a longtime resident of 68 5th Ave., Haverhill, MA, died Sunday, July 7, 2013, at the Merrimack Valley Hospital, Haverhill.
A lifelong resident of Haverhill, she was the daughter of the late Philias Rabidoux and the late Mary (Willett) (Rabidoux) Gallant. She attended St. Joseph Grammar School and Haverhill High School and worked as a Bow maker for shoe factories in Haverhill, retiring from the Haverhill Shoe Novelty Co.
A member of All Saints Church, Haverhill, she was a former member of the Ladies of St. Anne Society. In her leisure time, Mrs. Sherburne enjoyed dancing and shopping.
The widow of Kenneth E. Dolfe and Henry G. Sherburne, Jr., she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth E., Jr. and Simone Dolfe of No. Andover; a daughter, Janice (Dolfe) Ouimette of Exeter, NH; six grandchildren, Melissa Schott, Jennifer (Schott) Bird, Susan (Muscarello) Ferreira, Stephen Dolfe, Daniel Dolfe and Thomas Verombeck, five great grandchildren, Kristina, Sarah, Matthew, Kaitlin and Rachel and six great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Natalie Pappalardo, who died in 1974 and a son-in-law, Richard Ouimette, who died in 2009.
Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, July 11, 2013, from 7 - 9 PM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 12, 2013, at 10 AM in the funeral home with a committal service to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Haverhill.
