Following his graduation, Leslie honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force, a commitment that remained a significant part of his life until his passing.

Chet, as he was known to friends and family, was a man of many talents and passions. An avid golfer, he achieved the remarkable feat of three holes-in-one over the course of his golfing career. Notably, he was known throughout the Plaistow area for selling blueberries to many in the community, a testament to his generous and social nature.

His professional career included over two decades of service as a Quality Assurance Specialist at Lucent, where his commitment and expertise were highly valued. Even at the age of 93, Chet maintained his independence and mobility, continuing to drive and engage fully in life.

Chet’s life was enriched by his love of travel and his fondness for playing slot machines, pastimes through which he enjoyed meeting people and making lasting connections. A devoted family man, he was a loving father and grandfather who cherished reminiscing about the Merrimack Valley, sharing stories and memories that reflected his deep roots in the region.
