Obituary

Lesley (DiPietro) Carter, longtime resident of Haverhill passed away peacefully at her home in Haverhill on Monday, July 9, 2018 with her family by her side, after a lengthy battle with cancer.  Lesley was born in Harrogate, Yorkshire, England, the daughter of the late, Anthony S. and Harriett May (McCoy) DiPietro.  She came to the U.S. as an infant and was raised and educated in Methuen.  Her family later moved to Haverhill where she graduated from Haverhill High School with honors.  Lesley owned and operated Casa Bella Cleaning Company for many years.

She was a member of the former First Congregational Church in Haverhill.  She was a member of the Rainbow Girls and was also the first woman President of the Haverhill Lion's Club.  She was an active Team Mother for the Central Catholic High School Track Team.  Lesley enjoyed interior decorating, antiquing, holiday decorating as well as attending flea markets, yard sales and craft fairs.  She was proud of the fact that her ancestor, William McCoy was one of the Mutineers portrayed in the "Mutiny on the Bounty" on April 28, 1789.  Lesley was known for driving her sports car too fast and for having an uncanny talent for escaping speeding tickets.  Most of all, she will be remembered as a loving and caring woman who had a soft spot in her heart for all animals, especially for cats.

Lesley is survived by her longtime loving life partner, Donald "Pat" Lippoldt of Haverhill, her son, Jason Michael Carter and his wife, Tara of Temecula, CA and her step-son, William Carter, Jr. of Salem, MA.  Her grandchildren, Logan William Carter and Sienna Elizabeth Carter of Temecula, CA also survive her.  She was pre-deceased by her step-daughter, Lisa Carter and her step-son, Joseph Carter.
